Marveling

Best Blogger Tips

I marvel at the magnificence of the workings of the Lord.
Oh, my God. Yesterday we decided to take a walk around our new neighborhood. As we stepped out the door we noticed a tree (we were thinking of cutting down) had grown flowers. One day none and the next this...

The intricacies the Lord has taken to make these flowers is breath taking. I have never seen this particular flower before. They started as little green buds, opened to form balls resembling rolled yarn and then bloomed into soft looking bushy combs with gold flecks. I can't wait to see what happens to the item poking from the end.

This tree has lay around the yard looking like a mess all bent over and growing wily nily and worthless. I marvel how beauty and worth comes from nothing.

It's like Christ's work in our life. He can take a life that's been broken, tattered and torn and make something beautiful of it. Glad you didn't chop down that tree! :)

Hello there
Please don't cut it down - cut it back and shape it. It looks like Callistemon Viminalis aka Bottlebrush, an Australian native that will grow elsewhere in the right climate.
It has the most fabulous red 'brushes; in the Spring and will take any amount of cutting back. Can be kept as a shrub or left to grow as a tree - cutting back when its finished flowering will encourage more bushy growth and flowers for the next year. Those leaves at the end of the flower are new growth. Its almost impossible to kill this fabulous plant - Callistemon
There are various types but it does look like Callistemon viminalis http://www.anbg.gov.au/callistemon/index.html
